Used Recorders In March we announced a Spring Challenge: collecting 1,001 recorder flutes to equip one music classroom in each of La Ceiba's 36 public elementary schools. In addition to more than 130 used recorders donated, by July you had contributed enough money to purchase 1,001 brand new recorders, now awaiting our next shipping container. Thank you so very much. However ... The Ministry of Education has since announced that all Honduran elementary students will be required to study music ... either recorder or guitar. The Japanese government will train the teachers. And we can use your help to Gift the Magic of Music with every old recorder you have stashed away. Please check your closets for old instruments, which can easily be mailed in a large padded envelope to:
