La Banda Primera

Beginning in February, 2001, La Ceiba's public grade school Escuela Guadalupe de Quezada will have its first-ever instrumental music teacher, classes, and student band.

Donations of nearly 100 instruments and books of sheet music have been promised by Fundación La Música, who will collect donated items throughout the United States of America.

Needed instruments (new or used ... we can refurbish an older instrument) include:

  • Trombones (10)
  • Trumpets (10)
  • Clarinets (10)
  • Tubas (5)
  • Saxophones, tenor (8)
  • Saxophones, alto (8)
  • Flutes (10)
  • Piccolos (10)
  • Lyres (10)
  • Coronets (10)
